Taking off for Nova Scotia!
There are a select few who are receiving iMessage about my upcoming vacation. It is my hope that on Thursday morning of this week I will be leaving for my first leg of my trip to Nova Scotia. I have reservations at a federal department of agriculture camping site with electricity and water. With my America the beautiful card it will cost me 18 whole dollars. How prepared am I?
Have a compressor refrigerator to keep a constant group of cold drinks at hand. Might also have meats for meals, fruit, and pretty much anything else that needs refrigeration.
. I have a 300 W power supply that will keep my CPAP doing that CPAP thing.
I have a 400 W power supply that will keep the refrigerator rocking along at night when I’m not running a car.
I have coats (plural, and lots of blankets). I have a solar panel to recharge the power supplies. I haven’t quite figured out all of the electrical but somebody will help me out with that.

I have a great big kitchen container full of food, my favorite sparkling water, and a hot pad for when I’m camping with electricity available. I also have a warming lunchbox that can run from morning till noon and warm up leftovers from the night before. Or make macaroni and cheese.
I have a compressor to fill low tires. I have one of those starter things in case I’m stupid and leave the car electrical on at night, and have a dead car battery in the morning.
Brooklyn and I both have beds that are moderately comfy. It won’t be as cozy as home but still very sleepable.
I have a diagnostic reader in case problems arise. But they’re not going to. But if something arises I can get the diagnostic done and not be taken advantage of by an unscrupulous mechanic.
I will be posting my travel journal here. Check if you’re interested. Don’t if you don’t want. Please do not forward information or photos as I am not really keen on lots of folks knowing my house is empty. Not that I have much of any value.
I have my passport, my immunization record, and Brooklyn’s vaccination record. I have fans if it is hot. Clothing for warm or cold. Everything from shorts to gloves.
My first night will be just north of Chattanooga. That’ll give me a chance to get a sense of my ability.
The entire trip is about 1600 mi one way. My email is brownthrasher at gmail dot com so feel free to ask questions or inform me of how crazy I am at my email.
This is the PLANNED route. 27 to 40 to 81.
